WELCOME!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my little photography site. I have been a photographer for years, but now I find myself working in a library. It sounds strange, yes, but what I am doing is helping create digital archives. Makes more sense now. Right? On this site I'll share with you images, and stories about the people, places and memories that go along with these images. I hope you enjoy the time you spend here.

A video about my day job

In my day job, I get to deal with some pretty cool things from time to time. Last year our department partnered with the Lexington Public Library to digitize the Kentucky Gazette, the oldest newspaper west of Pittsburgh.

While flipping channels, I recently came across this video on the Public Library Channel. (Yes, I have been known to actually watch the public library channel on occasion. I'm a nerd. I own up to it.) The video talks about the history of the newspaper and how the public can access it on-line, but the URL they list in the video is wrong. Use my link instead. :)

| Kerry and Michael | sneak preview| engagement

Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness!!! I have some serious blogging to do!

It seems like every year when May rolls around my life spins completely out of control, and it takes me several weeks to catch up and regroup. This year was no exception. So I hope to in the very near future bring you all up to speed and catch up on this little back[b]log I have built up.

In the mean time I want to give you a sneak preview from Kerry and Michael's engagement session.

I know every photographer here in town photographs this red door, and honestly the part of me that didn't want to be cliche` tried to resist. However there is a bigger part of me that is madly in love with the contrast of this red against the blue building, and I just couldn't help myself. (Besides I know I'm a little cliche`. I'll own up to it.)
