WELCOME!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my little photography site. I have been a photographer for years, but now I find myself working in a library. It sounds strange, yes, but what I am doing is helping create digital archives. Makes more sense now. Right? On this site I'll share with you images, and stories about the people, places and memories that go along with these images. I hope you enjoy the time you spend here.

Back [b]log | Riley |

Right now I'm getting ready to leave for Florida on a working vacation of sorts. I'm getting ready to once again visit my very good friends, Brandon and Dawn, and the of course their little guy Riley. You may remember him from blog posts past.

As I'm prepping for this trip I realized I haven't shared many images from last year's trips. So since I'm the queen of "better late than never," I thought I'd share a few here.

Oh, don't you just love that face? Oh yeah. He's too cute not to share.

Last May, Brandon and Dawn  had me come up to their home in Chicago to spend a couple of lovely days with them and to take a few photos. Not a bad way to spend a mini-vaca if you ask me.  I had a great time just relaxing and visiting and experiencing the Windy City in the spring.

I even got to witness Riley's first visit to the beach. He wasn't quite sure to what to make of the sand.

But mostly we just stayed close to home. I  think these are my favorite photos.

Nothing fancy, but still beautiful, special, everyday moments.

Bath-time was always a special daily ritual, and one of my favorite times to take some photos. I love this image above.  I could just eat this little guy up. He's way too cute.  In October I came back to visit again  and I had to take more bath-time photos.

Love this!

This visit had a bigger event associated with it. Riley's very first birthday.  It was quite an honor to be there on such a big day. Don't worry folks the champaign was for the grown ups. :-)

Gosh, October feels like such a long time ago. I wonder how much this little guy has changed. I bet he's all grown up now.

By now he's walking and talking. This is when things are really going to be really fun.  I can't wait.

This is literally one of the very last photos I took when I visited in October. Brandon, Dawn and Riley ended up moving just a few weeks after my visit. I thought it was a fitting way to say good bye to their first family home. Now they are all settled and happily living in sunny Florida.  I can't wait to see them now in their new home. Oh this weekend is going to be great fun. I can tell already.
